Richard McManus makes 2008 Web Predictions at Read/Write Web with his first prediction being that Semantic Web Applications will be popular in 2008. I’m looking forward to seeing hover cars too. :) While I will continue to regard “reasoning applications” with due skepticism, I do believe that Local might benefit from the use of more structured knowledge. Richard points out applications like Twine and Freebase that I think provide examples of where Local can go.
